Jim Gigante

Misoprostol order My name is Sgt. James M. Gigante Ret. I am a former Marine Corps Sgt. with 10 years active and 3 reserve. During my career I was certified in Methods of Instruction, as a Marksmanship Instructor and was the education NCO for New River Air Station. Throughout my career I was responsible for creating both formal and informal training for subordinate Marines, in a multitude of subjects and situations.

I served 25 years in law enforcement in New Jersey, (20 of them as a Sgt.), where I was certified in Methods of Instruction by the state of New Jersey. Throughout my career I created and implemented training courses to include Leadership courses. I served as a Drill Instructor for the Juvenile Boot Camp for over 8 years.

Since my department didn’t provide any training on L.E.O.S.A. I asked the academy instructors about the law. If I asked 5 instructors the same question, I received 5 different answers. I realized they knew little or nothing about the law either. So; I started researching L.E.O.S.A. myself, including both civil and criminal cases. Talking to my fellow officers from all over the country, while I traveled, I realized how many departments provided little or no training on L.E.O.S.A. As well as how much missinformation there was about the law. When I searched for a company that provided training on it I found “Sheepdog Academy”. After attending one of their seminars I approached the lead instructor, Tom Roughneen, and told him I would be interested in being an instructor. I continued my own research as well as being trained by Tom. Tom is also a self-defense and firearms attorney in New Jersey, who has litigated one of the few successful L.E.O.S.A. civil cases.

Since retiring; We have presented seminars in K.C. Mo. and for the St. Joseph, Mo. P.D. I also am a certified instructor for the South Dakota “”Enhanced Concealed Carry License”” and the in house firearms instructor for the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance in Sioux Falls, S.D.
