Jeff Bedore

Boryslav I grew up on the streets of Chicago. In 1990 I joined the Air Force as a Security Police Officer where my duties included being handpicked for a security detail for President Bush during Desert Storm, ensure security of National resources, direct support during Desert Shield & Desert Strom. In 1998, I enlisted in the Navy as a Seabee, Combat Construction Supervisor, directly supporting numerous world-wide operations. During my time in the Navy, I volunteered as an Individual Augmentee, where I was embedded in the Army for nearly 18 months in Afghanistan in direct support of Operation Enduring Freedom working closely with Countries Military Forces. In 2011 I left the Navy and returned to the Air Force where I continued to provide direct support to multiple humanitarian missions, until my official retirement in November of 2015. In June of 2015, I joined the Coast Guard Auxiliary as a Volunteer member I teach boater safety and vessel safety checks for seaworthiness, where I still volunteer today.

I was employed with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office as a Correctional Officer for close to 18 years, until my retirement. As a team member of the Lake County Correctional staff, I served as Correctional Response Team member for 7 years, my major training included suicide prevention, multiple communication classes, de-escalations training, Peer-Support Team member, Critical Intervention Team member, Basic Life Support Instructor, Basic Tactical Medical Instructor, Active Shooter Instructor, Mental Health First-Aid Instructor (Adults, Public Safety, Veterans & LGBTQ community).

Currently I am a disabled, retired Military Veteran forming my personal business to help other learn skills that I have learned. My training skills have been learned over many years from; Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps. Army, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Department of Home Land Security; Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, & Federal Emergency Management Agency, State of Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification, National Rifle Association & Illinois Rifle Association, United States Conceal Carry Association (Delta Defense), American Red Cross, American Heart Association, Mental Health First Aid Organization
