Special Events

Special Olympics Illinois is a not-for-profit organization offering year-round training and competition in 19 sports for more than 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics programs enhance physical fitness, motor skills, self-confidence, social skills and encourage family support.

Awards breakfast on day two, where annual traffic safety challenge awards are announced. Several hundred officers from dozens of agencies who participate in this annual safety competition gather to learn who comes out on top and to receive their recognition and reward.
